Hi everyone,
Im remodeling my house and getting ready to install the front door.
The entryway is concrete slab which extends about 2 feet to the outside and sits about 6 inches above ground level. The roof only overhangs 16 inches so I’m sure the door will be taking a lot of weather. I will be tiling the slab with the same tile inside and out. I was thinking to install the tile first and then the door. I bought this door threshold [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D8P941U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D8P941U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which will sit on top of the tile and I will use this door bottom [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CRHYV4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CRHYV4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
Does this setup make sense or is there a better way this could/should be done?
Thanks everyone!

April 28, 2019That should work, just make sure you silicone or caulk between the tile and the floor seal. I’ve done something similar with an exterior prehung door and water found its way in even though the door had a rubber seal underneath.
